Taking a bath
More visits!
On January 24, my extended "family" came down to visit. I got to meet Eve, Kevin, Ashley, and Nolan! We had a great time and they even took me to a yummy burger place called Slider Burgers. I can't wait until I can eat one of the burgers myself.

Here I am with Nolan.

And here is me with Kevin and Ashley. Eve was sleeping so she missed out on the picture.

My dad's mom (my other grandma) came to visit me too! Here I am with her and dad!

Lots of visitors!
After I was born, lots of people came to visit me! I was a lucky little guy to have so many people welcome me :)

And last but not least here I am with my grandpa! Don't mind my cross eyes I was making silly faces to entertain you. So tired of all of the pics mom and dad!

My birth story
I was being stubborn and didn't want to come out. Boy if I knew what I was missing, I would have made my appearance sooner! After several weeks of no progress, my mom's doctor and my parents decided my mom should be induced.
On January 3, my anxious mom and dad checked into the hospital at 2:30 p.m. They had a super filling meal at Taco Bell because my mom thought she wouldn't get to eat. Luckily, she was able to eat later on that night, yay! I got some grilled cheese sandwich then :) After lots of paperwork, my mom was admitted and they started the Cervadil at 4:30 p.m. My mom basically had to wait 12 hours for them to do anything while the Cervadil did it's job of softening her cervix. My parents spent Saturday watching football and a sharks game.
At 12:30 p.m. my mom got up to use the restroom and lucky her, the Cervadil fell out, so they had to put in a new one. At 4:30 the nurse woke my mom up and had her take a shower, etc. Then she ate a super small breakfast (cottage cheese was all they had since the cafeteria wasn't open) and they started the Pitocin. Nothing much happened for the next few hours until her doctor came in to break her water at 10:00 a.m. She was dilated to 2 cm at this time. After her water was broken, that was when she really started to feel the contractions. My mom was pretty tired of being hooked up to the monitors, so she was glad when they put the internal fetal monitor on my head. I didn't care for that too much - who wants something on their head.
She was mostly feeling the contractions in her back, so her and my dad labored for quite awhile. Her back started to really hurt, so around 2:30, she was dilated to 4 cm. She wanted to hold out until 5 cm to get the epidural, so instead she got the fetanyol. She didn't like that very much, because it made her feel loopy. She was able to sleep though! About 5:00 p.m. she was finally able to get the epidural. My mom was super happy about this since her contractions were really strong! She was able to get some more sleep, but the epidural meant no more jello or anything but ice chips.
At about 9:00 p.m. my mom woke up feeling like she wanted to push. The nurse told her to call them when the feeling was consistent instead of coming and going. At 10:00 p.m. she called the nurse since the feeling was consistent. They got everything ready and she started to push at 11:00 p.m. Her doctor wasn't there yet, but arrived shortly after she started pushing.
For some reason, my mom wasn't thinking so straight and thought - I don't want the epidural because I want to make sure I know when to push. So she felt everything from this point on since her epidural had worn off. My head kept trying to make it's appearance, but my mom was really tired at this point, so her doctor ended up doing an episiotomy. After that, it only took a few more pushes. My mom was soooo happy to meet me and super excited to get to eat :) She hadn't had a real meal since the day before.
I made my appearance at 12:58 a.m. on January 5. My mom and dad fell in love with me instantly and they are still amazed by me every day. My mom can't believe I'm 4 weeks old already! :)

Updates
Updates are coming soon, I promise! I've been keeping my mom super busy, so she hasn't had much time to be on the computer. So she has to wait until I'm asleep, and I would much rather hang out awake then sleep during the day! Mom says she'll update tomorrow, so you'll have some new pictures of me soon!
